STNF via CNBN purchased and protects strategically situated parts of rainforest, and with that also the rainforest behind it. Here live the indigenous tribes the Huaoranis and also the uncontacted tribes Tagaeris and Taromenanes. They are one with the nature around them and with helping them to continue living as they do, we help the rainforest. Not by helping them to westernize, but by helping them to stay as they are.
For over 20 years now, we have a very strong relationship with the Huaorani indigenous people in the East side of the Territory. These are the more isolated communities of Huaoranis who still like to live as their ancestors did, with nothing but what nature provides them with. They know this rainforest so well, they know every sound, every plant and animal and they know how everything is connected and cannot live without the other. Therefore they know best how to coexistent with nature and not to destroy their forest in any way, otherwise they directly destroy their own habitat.
They are the best keepers and protectors the rainforest has.
So we have to be grateful to them and listen to what they think is best for the rainforest, because they know.
And STNF and CNBN tries to help them to keep doing what they have done for ages. From the outside world they do not need water pumps to give them clean water, they need the rivers not to get polluted before they enter the rainforest.
They do not need our materialistic wonders, they just need to be left in peace, not disturbed by loggers or oil companies who try to steel their trees and pollute their soils, or poachers to steel their animals and bring them to extinction.
And they do not need the oil company roads across the rainforest, to divide the forest in separate parts with smaller habitats for animals who need large areas to live in like jaguars and wild pigs. And especially they do not need the road attracting settlers as they always do, who will live along the road and cut all trees for having cows or crops, which make the separation of different habitats even more clear.
They are so much in contact with themselves and with nature. They mastered the skills of following nature instead of forcing nature to follow us, like we do. They really do not need workshops ‘mindfulness’ or ‘how to un-stress’, or ‘how to eat healthy’, or even “how to be happy”. As a matter of fact they do not even have days of the week in their language, they do not plan anything. Imagine that…!
If they are hungry they go search for food or go hunting.
If they need any kind of material to make something they might need, like a house or a bed or any kind of tool, they just go into the huge megastore around them and it is there.
If they have something to celebrate they start gathering food (which can take some days) and then the party starts.
If they want to invite other communities over they do not need mobile phones, they still own the ability to talk mobile without using a device: they just use telepathy.
If they are sick (which they rarely are), they live in an incredible pharmacy where they can find every cure they possibly need.
